Utilizing a centralized software approach that bridges information from SAFE and various PSIM systems, the SAFE Event Correlation Engine provides security practitioners with the ability to optimize their response efficiency. By correlating identity data with events and automating business operation policies, the SAFE Event Correlation Engine enables automatic, policy-driven responses to physical security incidents and situations in the most expedient and holistic manner.

The SAFE Event Correlation Engine performs a comprehensive range of functions, including:

• Unified user and group management for identity and event applications, thereby eliminating the "swivel-chair" approach of moving back and forth between two different applications
• A bi-directional data exchange interface for the real-time guaranteed sharing of identity status and usage related to physical security alarms
• One event management system interface for an operator to take multiple actions to an alarm/situation
• Unified policy management to configure responses and actions to identity/alarm events
• Integrated reporting and analytics across identities and events

Additionally, the SAFE Analytics solution measures alarm response times, allowing security practitioners to analyze alarm and access point data, providing insight into trends and behavioral changes – and the ability to automatically notify local security personnel regarding the means to remedy a potential situation.

The SAFE Event Correlation Engine quickly compiles detailed information based on alarms and incidents which have occurred across the entire security infrastructure. Incidents may also be filtered by type, location, time/date and level of severity. Trend reports enable physical security practitioners to answer complex questions such as "What day of the week do I get the most and least alarms?" to "Which sensors generate the highest level of alarms?". These reports are automatically created and archived in the SAFE Event Correlation Engine, and additional reports can be easily added.
