James K. Kallstrom
Consultant, Co-founder and Chairman of the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation
Mr. Kallstrom is a recognized expert on security, counter-terrorism, management and government/public affairs issues. He is the co-founder and Chairman of the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation (MCLEF.org), a foundation that gives educational scholarships to the children of fallen Marines, other Military service members and Federal Law Enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.
From 2002-2007, Mr. Kallstrom served in the role of Senior Advisor to the Governor for Counter-Terrorism, in which he oversaw all matters relating to counter-terrorism and security for the State of New York. In this capacity he was responsible for Counter-Terrorism Planning and Operations for the State of New York. He also was New York State's point of contact with The White House Office of Homeland Security.
A United States Marine Corps Captain and Vietnam War veteran, Mr. Kallstrom also worked for the FBI for over 25 years, retiring with the title of Assistant Director in Charge, New York Division.
Mr. Kallstrom has appeared numerous times on national television shows commenting on law enforcement and terrorism issues. He is the long-time Host of "The FBI Files" shown weekly on the Discovery Channel, and was a task force member on the Council on Foreign Relations Task Force report entitled, "America Still Unprepared - America Still in Danger".
In addition to his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from the University of Massachusetts, Mr. Kallstrom holds a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from Long Island University. He has also been awarded Honorary Doctorate Degrees from Becker College in Worcester, Massachusetts and Long Island University.
Denis Hébert,
President and CEO, HID Global
Denis Hébert was appointed president of HID Corporation in December of 2002. Prior to joining HID, he was president ofNexWatch, a Honeywell company based in Fremont, Calif., formerly known as Westinghouse Security Electronics. Mr. Hébert's experience spans over 17 years with Honeywell International in a number of senior executive roles managing business units across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. During his tenure at Honeywell, Mr. Hébert managed functional areas of increasing responsibility including marketing, engineering and manufacturing operations, as well as field operations at an integration level.
Mr. Hébert received a master's degree in business administration from the John Molson School of Management at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. He also holds bachelor's degrees in commerce and health sciences. Hébert is a long-standing member of ASIS International.
Dr. Daniel Diermeier
IBM Distinguished Professor of Regulation and Competitive Practice; Professor of Managerial Economics and Decision Sciences at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management; Professor of Political Science at the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, all at Northwestern University; and Director of the Ford Motor Company Center for Global Citizenship
Professor Daniel Diermeier served as the founding director of the Social Enterprise at Kellogg program (SEEK) and the founding co-director of the Northwestern Institute on Complex Systems (NICO). Professor Diermeier is a co-creator and academic director of the CEO Perspective Program, a joint venture between the Kellogg School of Management and the Corporate Leadership Center and Kellogg's most senior executive education program.
His teaching and research focuses on integrated strategy, the interaction of business and politics, crisis leadership, reputation management and strategic aspects of corporate social responsibility. His work has been published in numerous academic journals in management, economics, and political science and has been featured globally in numerous media outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, the Economist, the Chicago Tribune and De Telegraaf. He has lectured globally on crisis and reputation management, integrated strategy, activists and consumer boycotts, political strategy and regulatory management. He has also led workshops and customized programs in biotechnology, energy, financial services, manufacturing, medical marketing, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, media management, regulatory management, security management and transportation management. He has received numerous awards including the prestigious L.G. Lavengood Professor of the Year Award (Kellogg School of Management, 2001). In 2007 he was the recipient of the prestigious Faculty Pioneer awarded by the Aspen Institute.
Professor Daniel Diermeier is the founder and managing partner of Diermeier Consulting Associates LLC, based in Newport Beach, California, providing clients with analysis and strategy advice in crisis leadership, reputation management, stakeholder management, regulatory and political strategy. Recent clients include Abbott, Accenture, Allianz , Baker & McKenzie , BP, Cargill, the City of Chicago (Office of the Mayor), CIBC, Exelon, the FBI, W. W. Grainger, Guidant, Heartland Automotive, Household International (now part of HSBC), IFCO Systems, Intercontinental Exchange, Johnson & Johnson, Kraft, McDonald's, Metro AG, Metro Cash & Carry International, Nicor, People's Energy, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Roche Diagnostics, Shell and State Farm.
Professor Diermeier is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago. In December 2004 Professor Diermeier he was appointed to the Management Board of the FBI. He has also served as a senior strategic advisor to PricewaterhouseCoopers and is an advisory board member for Quantum Secure, a security management technology company, and The Point, a company facilitating social organization.
Rohit Gupta
GM and Vice President, BMC Software
Rohit Gupta is currently GM and Vice President, for the Service Support product line at BMC Software, including IT Service Management (Remedy applications), IT Business Management and BMC's SaaS offerings (RemedyOnDemand and RemedyForce). He is responsible for R&D, product management, strategy and go-to-market, SaaS delivery and operations as well as overall P&L for the Service Support business.
Prior to BMC, Rohit was Vice President of product management and operations for Identity Management & Security products at Oracle Corporation, and drove Oracle to market leadership in that segment through organic and strategic inorganic development. Under his stewardship, Oracle delivered market leading technologies for user provisioning & access management, while entering the new markets of enterprise fraud prevention, entitlements management and identity governance. Rohit was also founder and chair of Oracle's Identity Management Customer Advisory Board, a consortium of Fortune 500 companies implementing Oracle Identity Management, as well as founder of Oracle's Worldwide Partner Council for Identity Management and Extended ISV ecosystem for Identity Management.
Prior to Oracle, Rohit was a senior executive at Sun Microsystems, responsible for market development and application integration of Sun's Identity Management product line, with major application vendors including SAP, Microsoft, Siebel, PeopleSoft and Oracle. Rohit has a Masters of Science in Computer Science from Case Western Reserve University, and is a well-known industry speaker on topics including IT infrastructure, security & identity management, and service-oriented computing.
Ed Chandler,
CPP, Chairman, Security By Design, Inc.
Mr. Chandler has been actively consulting in the security industry since 1974. Mr. Chandler has been involved in the design of many aspects of security, fire and data center coordination. He is recognized as an expert in systems integration for security alarms, access control, fire detection and suppression, closed circuit television, intercom and emergency shutdown processes for computer facilities. Several very large security systems that span many countries have been designed and coordinated by Mr. Chandler.
Well known as a futurist for the security industry, he has advised many of the manufacturers of large security infrastructure systems and constantly pushes the industry to grow and innovate. In addition, he has coordinated, designed and specified integrated security approaches for office complexes, industrial facilities, laboratories, schools and many very high-end residential homes. He is well known in the security industry for his technical expertise and knowledge of lock hardware and master planning. His forte is applying logical security solutions to business applications and has instructed seminars for various industries. He has also served as an expert witness for both owners and legal advisors regarding litigation of projects.
Mr. Chandler holds Graduate Degree from California State University, Hayward and Bachelor of Arts in Physics from University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Chandler is a certified as CPP (Certified Protection Professional) by American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS). His professional associations include American Society for Industrial Security, National Fire Protection Association and the Associated Locksmiths of America.
