President and CEO
Ajay Jain is the President and CEO of Quantum Secure, Inc. where he is responsible for setting the company’s vision and strategy along with managing the daily operations. In 2002, Ajay’s start up, Mokume Software, a real-time enterprise software company in the field of manufacturing and security, was acquired by Versant Corp (Nasdaq: VSNT). Prior to that, Ajay co-founded MarketFirst Software, which was acquired by Pivotal (Nasdaq: PVTL). Ajay has also held senior and executive management positions at Clarify, Qdecor and Netscape.
Ajay holds an MBA from Santa Clara University, an MS in Computer and Information Science from Clarkson University with advanced courses from Stanford University. Ajay co-authored a college-level book titled Basic Mathematical Economics.
CTO and Vice President, Products
Vik Ghai is responsible for product vision and development at Quantum Secure. Previously, Vik co-founded Mokume Software, Inc. which was acquired by Versant Corp (Nasdaq: VSNT) in 2002. At Mokume, Vik managed all levels of operations including company vision, customer and partner relationship management, negotiations, product design, and software engineering. Prior to Mokume, Vik worked with TRW and SmithKline Beecham advising them on efficient operational, manufacturing, IT and ERP strategies (specifically configuring SAP R/3, ORACLE). Earlier, Vik worked with R&D teams at Checkpoint Systems to build its next-generation electronic article surveillance (anti-shoplifting) systems.
Vik holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University at Chicago, and BS in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University at Philadelphia.
Vice President, Engineering and R&D
Shailendra Sharma is responsible for leading the R&D team. Previously, Shailendra has served in Nortel Networks and Lucent Technologies as the architect and engineering team lead, designing network convergence, management, performance, customer management and security products for tier-1 telecom and enterprise customers. He has a track record of turning next-generation research into viable products, and his work has led to patents in such diverse fields as Secure Mobile Network Management and Software Application Design. He was recipient of a Top Talent award from the CEO of Nortel Networks and drove product design initiatives recognized for Core Bell Labs Teamwork Award. Shailendra holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Applications.
Vice President, Strategy and Business Development
Julian Lovelock is the Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at Quantum Secure, part o fHID Global. In this role, he is responsible for supporting the development of key strategic relationships and defining business strategy for the organization.
Julian joined HID Global in 2010 as part of their acquisition of ActivIdentity, where he was Vice President of Product Marketing. Prior to his role with Quantum Secure, Julian served as HID Global’s Vice President of Strategic Innovation, responsible for the application of innovative technologies to create new solutions to challenging business problems.
Julian moved to the West Coast from London in 2005 following the acquisition of ASPACE Solutions where he was CTO and co-founder. He holds a BENG in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Aston, UK.
Vice President, Business Development Aviation
As Vice President of Business Development, Andy is responsible for identifying specific markets for the Quantum Secure solution, and he is focused on developing and sustaining relationships in these targeted vertical markets, including the ability to advise customers concerning their needs and win business. Previously, Andy held the position of Director of Program Management at ActivIdentity (Nasdaq: ACTI), where he was responsible for R&D programs in the logical authentication, PKI and smartcard space (PIV). Additionally, Andy draws on 11+ years in management consultancy with PricewaterhouseCoopers (now IBM Global Services) where he managed and delivered various multi-national enterprise technology and business process re-engineering solutions. Andy utilizes his broad experience in security, technology and ERP solutions design and delivery to ensure Quantum Secure customers draw on best practices available for security and their industry. A strong customer focus and development of delivery methodology mark Andy’s contributions to Quantum Secure.
Vice President, Product
Don Campbell began his career as a United States Marine Corps officer where he ran a 13-person team responsible for managing a 35 building/5000 user network. Upon leaving the Marine Corps, Don held a number of positions with technology companies ranging from LEO satellite communication to IT Security management. In 2003, Don joined the physical security space as PSIM products began to arrive on the market. Don helped build Vistascape Security Systems which was sold to Siemens in 2007. He continued to define the PSIM space as the Head of Product for Vidsys.
In 2014 Don joined Quantum Secure to lead their product team focusing on modernizing the user experience and expanding Quantum Secure’s PIAM portfolio with the addition of Predictive Security. Don received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Duke University.
Vice President, Professional Services
As Vice President of Professional Services for Quantum Secure, Tina Huston manages and oversees the company’s deployment process for all customers. Prior to joining Quantum Secure, she spent 17 years in IT and physical security overseeing development, maintenance and support of software application and physical access systems and another 7 years in project management.
In addition to completing extensive management and project management courses, Huston is a California Registered Professional Engineer and has earned Technical Management Program Certification from UCLA. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Nevada – Reno and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Pepperdine University.
Vice President, Global Sales
As Vice President of Global Sales for Quantum Secure, Kyle Elliott is responsible for overseeing and expanding the company’s sales efforts in the North America, EMEA, APAC and Middle East and North Africa regions. Prior to joining Quantum Secure as Director of Sales in December 2014 Elliott established a 25-plus-year record of success in enterprise software sales and management in the global international 1000, federal government, state and local government and OEM markets, as well as extensive experience in channel sales to VARs and distributors. He has also provided venture capital to a number of Silicon Valley startups, many of which eventually went public. Elliott holds a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Southern California.
Vice President, Sales for North America
Thomas Moro is Vice President of Sales for North America responsible for Commercial and Enterprise customer acquisition and the operational management of the US Sales teams. Revenue goals attained through internal enterprise software sales methodology expertise and external VAR partner and customer outreach. Past industry positions for Thomas include Product Management, Technical Trainer, and Regional and National sales management in access control systems, time and attendance/workforce management, IP and analog video systems and parking products. Thomas has over 20 years of law enforcement and security industry experience and numerous educational, industry and government certifications.
Senior Director, Global Marketing
Rochelle Thompson is Senior Director of Global Marketing at Quantum Secure, where her responsibilities include global brand strategy, channel marketing, strategic development and marketing communications. Previously, she led marketing operations and completed a large-scale rebranding effort for ActiveVideo Networks. Rochelle was formerly a direct marketing consultant at Database Marketing Solutions for clients such as Cisco Systems, Gap Inc., Macys.com and AAA.
Rochelle holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Santa Clara University and participated in IES Study Abroad in Vienna, Austria. She has managed volunteer programs for various employers including Quantum Secure.
Purna Chandra Rao K
Principle Architect and Senior Director of India Operations
Purna Chandra Rao K is the Principle Architect for Quantum Secure, where he is responsible for product architecture, management and the delivery of Quantum Secure products.
Previously, Purna was a Delivery Manager for IBM India where he was responsible for leading the development teams of A&ES and IBM FM products. He has also served as Project Lead with Oracle India Pvt. Ltd and was involved in the development of Oracle’s Discoverer Application. His extensive experience in product development and management guides the team in transforming vision into products.
Purna holds a Master’s degree from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from NIT Warangal (RECW).
Vice President Federal Practice
Mark Steffler has over 20 years experience in computer, network, and electronic physical security. With a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Mark worked at AT&T and Exodus Communications in cyber security and more recently at Vidient in electronic physical security and now at Quantum Secure in physical identity and access management.
Mark is the VP of Government Practice for Quantum Secure and leads the company’s initiatives in aligning its flagship product, SAFE, for widespread adoption in the federal government in conformance with FICAM and HSPD-12. Mark is a member of the Smart Card Alliance (SCA) Access Control Council as well as the Security Industry Association (SIA) Standards Access Control & Identity Subcommittee and regularly participates in open government sponsored forums focused on the evolution of FICAM and FIPS201.
