Quantum Secure Launches SAFE 3.0

Major Software Update Offers Pre-packaged Modules for Specific Industries

San Jose, Calif., Sept. 15, 2008 - Quantum Secure, Inc. (www.quantumsecure.com) today launched the third generation of its leading SAFE suite of software for the physical security industry, highlighted by several new groundbreaking industry-specific applications.

Quantum Secure is the exclusive provider of enterprise software to manage and streamline security identities, compliance, events and operations across disparate physical security systems. With the SAFE suite of software, organizations can unite multiple discrete physical security systems (e.g. employee/vendor access, video surveillance, alarms, credentials/badges, etc.) into a single point of identity and event control through SAFE's web-based "dashboard".

As a result, users can guarantee that a cardholder's identity is properly authenticated, authorized and provisioned across a wide range of diverse physical security systems. Resulting benefits of the SAFE suite of software include improved regulatory compliance, operational costs savings and tighter overall security. With the release of SAFE 3.0, Quantum Secure is introducing new modules that provide industry-best practices for the unique security requirements of highly regulated and complex industries, including:

Airports & seaports

Large, multi-tenant facilities

Federal government

Telecommunications

Healthcare

"Quantum Secure's initial value proposition was built around convergence - connecting and integrating physical security cardholder's identities and events under one global policy," said Ajay Jain, President and CEO of Quantum Secure. "With SAFE 3.0, we are extending and significantly enhancing the value of convergence by offering highly customized and configurable solutions that are role-based and industry-specific."

Another key enhancement to SAFE 3.0 is an expanded SAFE Self-Service feature. This unique and easy-to-use administration function lets authorized personnel log into a secure site and:

Request physical access permissions

Submit badge and/or metal key requests

Request replacement for lost/damaged/stolen cards

Manage temporary/pool cards

Pre-register/invite visitors

Review physical access area audits

In the past, these critical tasks were highly labor-intensive, often taking days or weeks to process. SAFE 3.0 Self-Service offers an intuitive, user-friendly interface and reduces the time (less than two minutes) to file access permissions and requests. With SAFE 3.0, physical security departments can be more focused on managing security polices and anomalies rather than simply managing paperwork.

Vik Ghai, CTO and Vice President of Products at Quantum Secure, added: "Like so many industries that have benefitted from a self-service approach, SAFE 3.0 represents a real leap forward in physical security management. For example, a real estate management company that may lease property to multiple tenants can deploy SAFE 3.0 to effectively manage each tenant's own secure area and access policies. This depth of customization drives new flexibility, customer service and control, while reducing total cost of ownership at the enterprise level."

The SAFE 3.0 software suite is currently being deployed in several organizations, including large international airports, global telecommunications companies and highly-secure federal government agencies. Quantum Secure expects to introduce additional industry-specific SAFE applications in 2009.

About Quantum Secure, Inc.
Quantum Secure's SAFE suite of software products effectively addresses the challenges associated with operating multiple proprietary physical security infrastructure systems in modern-day global corporations, airports and government agencies. SAFE provides a single, fully interoperable and integrated physical security policy platform to manage and streamline security identities, compliance, events and operations across multiple disparate physical security systems. Quantum Secure's customers range from large international airports, highly secure government agencies and Fortune 500 global corporations, including Adobe, Symantec and Baxter International.
Adobe Chooses Quantum Secure for Policy-based Physical Identity Management and Compliance

Las Vegas NV (ISC West 2008, April 2, 2008) - Quantum Secure, Inc., the leading provider of Physical Access and Identity Management Systems convergence announced today that Adobe Systems Operations has chosen Quantum Secure's SAFE Physical Identity Management System (PIDMS) to automate provisioning and enhance compliance management.

"Quantum Secure's SAFE PIDMS is designed with physical security operations in mind," said Mark Domnauer, corporate security director at Adobe. "SAFE simplifies time-consuming tasks like provisioning/de provisioning new employees, reporting, and meeting compliance. Access privileges and roles assigned within our IT/HR systems are aligned with those in our physical access control systems (PACS), providing better office space utilization and worker lifecycle management for Adobe."

Using SAFE, Adobe can consolidate information from HR, IT, and physical security systems and processes, providing transparency and control from a single Web-based dashboard that is easy to integrate, use, and manage. Adobe Security Operations plans to use SAFE to automate PACS card holder provisioning, administration, reporting processes for new hires, terminations, change requests, and compliance based on security policies. SAFE integrates with Adobe's existing directory structure, employee database and physical access control system to facilitate the execution of business rules and provide a common repository for security audits and reporting.

"It's an imperative today for security organizations to demonstrate the business value and efficiencies," said Ajay Jain CEO and President of Quantum Secure. "Converged physical and logical security, sustained compliance, faster response times, and lower TCO are just some of the returns on investment with Quantum Secure. Companies like Adobe are demonstrating that it can be done cost-effectively - without ripping and replacing - for a positive impact on the bottom line."

About Quantum Secure, Inc.
Quantum Secure, Inc. is the leader in physical security and IT interoperability convergence.
Quantum Secure Announces Reseller Relationship with Johnson Controls

MILWAUKEE - (September 24, 2007) - Johnson Controls, Inc. has entered into an agreement with Quantum Secure Inc., the leader in physical and IT security identity convergence to provide the company's SAFE Physical - Identity Management System (P-IDMS). The agreement enables Johnson Controls to offer enterprise-level physical security identity and credentials management solutions to customers, regardless of their physical access control providers

The standards-based open platform allows for unprecedented integration of multiple systems such as complex physical security systems, human resources applications, IT systems and applications under a unified enterprise policy paradigm. Completing a worldwide valueadded reseller agreement with Quantum Secure further enhances Johnson Controls' global integration capabilities.

"Our partnership with Quantum Secure will broaden our capabilities to address a significant concern of large enterprises: managing access rights across disparate physical security and enterprise systems," said Joel Lehman, vice president, fire and security for Johnson Controls. "We're excited to be working with this emerging industry leader."

The SAFE P-IDMS allows enterprises and government agencies to consolidate multiple, complex physical security and enterprise systems into a single identity source. Security managers can create processes and policies to grant, manage, revoke and provision physical security identities and access privileges across disparate vendors and technologies. By eliminating the need for manual processes and redundant communications, it reduces vulnerabilities across all strategic physical access points of an extended enterprise, improving security, regulatory compliance and cost efficiency.

"We are pleased to be partnering with Johnson Controls to expand the reach of our valueadded reseller channel and bring our unique solutions to a broader base of customers," said Ajay Jain, president and CEO of Quantum Secure. "This relationship paves the way for long-term customer relationships that will establish best practices for physical security and IT interoperability convergence."

Johnson Controls, Inc. and Quantum Secure, both work with enterprises to help them comply with identity regulations and policy enforcement. For example, government organizations can use their solutions to enhance compliance with FIPS 201 credentialing requirements. FIPS 201 specifies personal identity verification standards for Federal employees and contractors.

Quantum Secure's primary 2008 milestones included the update of its flagship SAFE software portfolio, the continued development of high-quality partnerships and the strengthening of its leadership team.

"With the additions of Dan and Bruce to our team, we are better equipped to meet the growing demand for integrated physical security and identity management," said Jain. "And with several new partners and clients, as well as a new, in-demand version of our software, we don't expect our momentum to slow any time soon."

Quantum Secure, Inc. Showcases Converged IT and Physical Security Identity Management Solution at Oracle OpenWorld 2007

Oracle OpenWorld, San Francisco, CA (November 12, 2007) - Quantum Secure, Inc., the leading provider of converged Physical Access and Identity Management Systems and a member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork, announced today that the company will showcase its leading Quantum Secure SAFE Physical-Identity Management (P-IDMS) solution at Oracle OpenWorld 2007. The solution, which integrates to OracleŽ Identity Manager, a component of Oracle Identity Management, enables convergence and simplifies collaboration between Information Security and Physical Security groups. Quantum Secure brings integrated governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions from the Physical Security domain to complement Oracle's leading GRC platform. Quantum Secure will demonstrate the solution at Oracle OpenWorld's Security, Risk and Compliance Pavilion November 11th to 14th in Moscone West, Booth 3830.

"Identity management is a critical component to an organization's comprehensive security and compliance strategy," said Amit Jasuja, vice president of Development for Identity and Security Products, Oracle. "Using Oracle Identity Management with Quantum Secure's SAFE Physical Identity Management System will help enable organizations to more easily integrate and manage identities across IT and Physical security domains."

SAFE P-IDMS extends Oracle Identity Manager by providing end-to-end Identity and Access Management across different Physical Access Control (PAC) infrastructures. Identities created and managed within HR, ERP and IT systems can now be rolled into a seamless and automatically administered process. The combined solution helps ensure full Identity lifecycle management in both IT and Physical Security domains. Business benefits of the combined solution include:

Cost Reduction. Aligns business-centric identity with physical security management - across the board - by automating identity processes and facilitating self-service workflows for physical access requests, approvals and denials

Control. Lets administrators easily manage identities provisioned by Oracle Identity Manager, across physical access control (PAC) systems

Enforced Compliance. Simplifies SOX compliance initiatives, streamlines policies and reporting across systems, eases managing GRC projects, and helps reduce risk by correlating physical and logical access logs

Smooth Integration and Convergence. Enables a single identity to seamlessly exist enabling centrally deployed IT and physical security provisioning / de-provisioning processes, and provides role-based physical access management

"Quantum Secure is excited about working with Oracle to make it easier for our customers to integrate their Physical and IT security systems," said Ajay Jain CEO and President of Quantum Secure. "To manage governance, risk and compliance, enhance overall security, save operational costs and streamline business processes, an end-to-end converged physical and IT identity management paradigm is a must."
