Quantum Secure Becomes Platinum Sponsor of GSN 2009 Homeland Security Awards.
Quantum Secure, Inc., a provider of enterprise software to manage and streamline security identities, compliance and events across disparate physical security systems, has signed on as a platinum sponsor of the GSN 2009 Homeland Security Awards program.
According to Adrian Courtenay, managing partner of World Business Media, LLC, the publisher of GSN: Government Security News, Quantum Secure is an ideal sponsor of the awards program because the company’s physical identity and access management solutions integrate with all physical security systems and make them interoperable amongst each other, and with existing IT and human resources systems, creating a converged security environment.
The company’s "SAFE for Government" solution, for example, solves the problem of geographically dispersed government agencies by automatically enrolling the PIV cardholder into the existing Physical Access Control System (PACS), based on intelligent policies and rules which act as a guard against fraud and real-time audit compliance.
The GSN 2009 Homeland Security Awards program has been created to salute the dedicated government officials and their agencies – at federal, state and municipal levels – whose security programs and initiatives help keep the nation safe. The awards also recognize the vendors of IT and physical security products whose innovative technologies are behind our successful homeland security initiatives.
The Quantum Secure SAFE suite of software effectively addresses the challenges associated with operating multiple proprietary physical security infrastructure systems in modern-day global corporations and government agencies. SAFE provides a single, fully interoperable and integrated physical security policy platform to manage and streamline security identities, compliance and events across multiple disparate physical security systems.
Quantum Secure’s customers range from large international airports, highly secure government agencies, and Fortune 500 global corporations, including Toronto Pearson International Airport, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Adobe Systems, Symantec Corp., Juniper Networks and Baxter International.
“We are proud to be a platinum sponsor of the GSN 2009 Homeland Security Awards program this year,” said Ajay Jain, president and CEO of Quantum Secure. “This is a very prestigious event and we are honored to partner with GSN on it.”
The awards dinner will take place in New York City on October 28, the first day of the ICS East and Public Security & Safety expos, both produced by Reed Exhibitions. The dinner will culminate with the third annual presentation of the Fred V. Morrone Memorial Nine-Eleven Award in honor of Fred Morrone, the highest ranking officer of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to die in the World Trade Center tragedy.
The Morrone award will be presented by the U.S. and International Associations of Airport and Seaport Police. The first two recipients of the Morrone Award were Rudolph Giuliani, former Mayor of New York City, and Asa Hutchinson, a former director of the DEA and former Under Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.
